Harry Griffen Park is a regional facility operated as part of a joint powers authority composed of the Helix Water District, Grossmont Union High School District, the County of San Diego, and the cities of El Cajon and La Mesa.
Sundays at Six Summer Concerts
Free
summer concerts are held in the amphitheatre at 6:00 pm on Sundays in June and July.
The amphitheatre is also the perfect venue for an outdoor wedding, graduation party, and many other celebrations. For rental information call 619.667.1307.

Canine Corners Dog Park
The fenced, off-leash dog park at Harry Griffen Park is supported and maintained by volunteers.
Canine Corners Dog Park is open 7:00 am to dusk daily.
La Mesa Parks Policies
- Parks are open 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, except for Harry Griffen Park which opens at 7:00 am and closes one hour after dusk
- Dogs must remain on leash except at the off-leash dog run located in Harry Griffen Park
- All parks are smoke-free environments. No alcoholic beverages without special permit
- A Special Event Permit is required for groups of 25 or more, and for special use such as astrojumps
