Senior Taxi Scrip helps provide affordable and reliable transportation to order adults and persons with disabilities who are residents of the East County and east San Diego communities within the Grossmont Healthcare District.

Through the Senior Taxi Scrip program, eligible persons purchase discounted Yellow Cab scrip booklets for $10 each (actual value of scrip booklets is $20). The City of La Mesa provides eligibilty screening for riders and reserves the right to limit scrip sales based upon scrip availability.

La Mesa also has the volunteer based transportation program - Rides 4 Neighbors. Rides are provides by volunteers who use their own vehicles to assist transit dependent La Mesa neighbors in need of a lift. Volunteer drivers are reimbursed for mileage and receive secondary liability insurance.
