As a support group to the La Mesa Park and Recreation Foundation, the La Mesa ARTS Alliance believes that a diverse community of artists and arts organizations is essential to the cultural, educational, social and economic vitality of La Mesa. The organizational goal is to foster the arts in our community using the ARTS toolbox: Access, React, Teach, and Share.

The La Mesa ARTS Alliance is an all-volunteer organization made up of interested East County residents, professionals, local artists, and businesses committed to bringing a variety of arts experiences into our community. See the mostly monthly newsletter for our calendar of events.

Bring the Arts to La Mesa
The La Mesa ARTS Alliance is dedicated to providing a variety of arts experiences to the community including:

• La Mesa Walking Art Trail
  Utility boxes painted by local artists dot the downtown La Mesa Village landscape
• Spring Symphony
  La Mesa Arts Alliance and East County Youth Symphony present an annual spring concert on the first Sunday in May
• Sundays at Six Summer concerts
  A series of free concerts held in the amphitheatre at Harry Griffen Park on Sundays during June and July. Concerts start at 6:00 pm
• Annual theater performance featuring local performers 
• Art in the Park
  An annual event bringing hands on art projects for children into the outdoor park setting 

• Centennial Legacy Project "The Lookout"

        Public art to honor La Mesa's 100th Birthday
