Kristine C. Alessio
Kristine (Christensen) Alessio is a lifelong San Diego County resident. She was born in La Mesa at Grossmont Hospital and grew up in the East County communities of El Cajon and Alpine. Her daughter Emily, has attended La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools and currently attends Grossmont High School
Kristine graduated from Valhalla High School, received her Bachelors Degree in Philosophy from the University of California, San Diego and Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego. She was admitted to the California Bar in 1996.
Kristine's family has been in La Mesa for several decades, her father attended La Mesa Dale Elementary and her grandfather worked for La Mesa Lumber in the 1950’s.
She has been actively involved in multiple civic organizations, previously serving on the Board of Directors for the East County Boys and Girls Clubs, the East County YMCA, the Grossmont-Mt. Helix Improvement Association. She received awards for her pro-bono legal services rendered to Project Safe Harbor at the East County Division of the San Diego Superior Court for her assistance in helping victims of domestic violence. She a former volunteer for the City's Pet Therapy Program administered through the Adult Enrichment Center.
Kristine serves as the City’s representative on SANDAG, Mission Trails Regional Park Task force, and Harry Griffen Park JPA.
