On April 27th the La Mesa City Council adopted a resolution to join with United States Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, the California Office of Traffic Safety, and AT&T, to educate the public about the dangers of cell phone use and texting while driving. Sending or reading text messages or using a cell phone while driving significantly increases a driver’s likelihood of being involved in a collision, leading to tragic consequences.
