City Treasurer

Primary Responsibility

The City Treasurer’s primary responsibility is investing surplus funds in the City Treasury in accordance with the California Government Code sections 53601, 53607, and 53635. Investment decisions are in accordance with Section 53600.5 of the California Government Code.

The Treasurer’s highest priorities are:
  • Safety of funds
  • Liquidity and availability of funds
  • Yield on invested funds

Statements of Economic Interests

The city treasurer is an elected officer identified in Government Code Section 87200 and files statements of economic interests with the City Clerk's office. Copies of the statements of economic interests filed by the above elected officer may be obtained by visiting the offices of the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) or the City Clerk.
